This weekend’s Dallas-based Jack E. Jett Show features Bobby Wygant as co-host
Guests include Bob Barker, Ed Asner, and Debbie Reynolds, and Jack will be broadcasting live from ilume in Uptown.
For his Dallas-based radio broadcasts this weekend (both Saturday and Sunday starting at 1 p.m. on Rational Radio, 1360 AM), Jack E. Jett will set up his microphones at ilume on Cedar Springs. He's worked out some kind of deal with Luke Crosland (of The Crosland Group) whereby he'll be broadcasting live from the glam Uptown residential/dining/nightlife destination all through the month of December.
This weekend, Jack's guest co-host will be legendary local media person Bobby Wygant.
Bobby and Jack will converse with the following luminaries. (Comments appended are those of Jack E. Jett.)
* John Amaechi, the first openly gay NBA player and author of Man in the Middle.
* Bob Barker, the first openly straight game show announcer from The Price is Right and author of Priceless Memories. (Not certain he was the first, but he was way up there.)
* Hal Sparks, everyone’s favorite snarky commentator from VH1, Talk Soup, and of course he was one of “those folks” in Queer as Folk.
* Ed Asner, oh, Mr Grant, from The Mary Tyler Moore Show to The Lou Grant Show as well as one of the stars of Pixar’s Up.
* The Dudely Lama from the Church of the Latter Day Dude will discuss dudeism as it relates to The Big Lebowski fans.
* The Archies. These guys were begging to have Sugar, Sugar poured on them when Def Leppard could still hear.
* Debbie Reynolds, a pre-Madonna queen's best friend. It just doesn’t get any better than this for a homo in the radio biz!
NOTE that, in addition to tuning your radio to 1360 on the AM dial, you can also stream the broadcast by directing your browser here and entering The Jack E. Jett Show in the search field.
