This weekend’s Jack E. Jett Show features call-in music, Ronnie Spector, and the madame of the Mustang Ranch
Jack calls it "eclectic"; we call it insanity.
Once again this week Jack E. Jett will broadcast his radio show live from ilume on Cedar Springs.
Saturday's program will consist of two hours (1-3 p.m.) of the pogo music show, with listeners encouraged to call in their requests. Joining Jack behind the microphone will be Rob Lobster and John No Dough. It's not to be missed for fans of Husker Du, The Waitresses, and Talking Heads -- and keep your ears peeled for holiday songs by The Humpers and The Ramones.
(As an additional inducement for those planning to visit ilume broadcast ground zero, Red Mango will be dishing out free yogurt from 1-6 p.m.)
Sunday's more traditional talk show lineup is set to include -- and here we insert our usual disclaimer that all comments included below are those of Jack E. Jett:
- Tommy James, sans the Shondells; Mr. Hanky Panky himself, who has a new book and film coming out entitled Me, the Mob and Music.
- Brother Harry Hardwick from Landover Baptist Church, who will explain how a virgin birth does not necessitate a replaced hymen.
- Susan Austin, madame of the Mustang Ranch (and who thus knows a thing or two about busted hymens), will talk about her establishment of ill repute.
- Daniel Nardicio, from Playgirl.com, will explain why we didn’t see what's in Levi’s Levis, as well as letting us know about a photograph of Tiger Woods' wood available for purchase.
- Ronnie Spector, who has a new CD out entitled The Last of the Rock Stars, featuring Patti Smith and Keith Richards.
As usual, you can tune in to the Jack E. Jett Show on Rational Radio at 1360 on the AM dial.
