Garland boxing prospect drops out of anticipated bout
The much anticipated return of Garland welterweight prospect Americo Santos to the boxing ring has been put on hold yet again as a work-related injury will prevent him from fighting on the Galvan Promotions pro-am card on February 14 at Eddie Deen's Ranch in Dallas.
Santos' inability to fight on the card will force the second fight to be scratched from the promotion due to injury. WBC super featherweight youth champion Jose Hernandez was to have headlined the card until a knee injury suffered in training forced him to withdraw. The promotion will now be headlined by the rematch between Luis Hernandez of Fort Worth and Wayne Fletcher of Dallas.
Highly touted middleweight prospect Chap Huggins of Fort Worth will be added to the card as well.
