Method Entertainment hosting new music showcase, featuring Quiet Company, on Friday
Quiet Company's video for "Fashionabel" off the album Shine Honesty was picked up for regular rotation on MTV Canada.
Method Entertainment, always on the search for new to newish music, is hosting a showcase this Friday at Club Dada. Details below via just-received email:
10:00 - Stavely ~ This five-piece band hails from the suburbs of Dallas, Texas and have been playing venues around Dallas for a couple of years now. Their influences range from Travis, Keane and Flaming Lips. Since their release of their EP Listen they have been picking up momentum and have continued to amaze audiences every where.
11:00 - Companion (Formerly Hey Hollywood) ~ is an Indie/Rock band from Dallas, TX who has been reborn with new senses of direction and passion for creating music with meaning. Nominated for Best Act in Town for the 2007 Dallas Observer Music Awards as, Hey Hollywood, they have captured the attention of indie music lovers both locally and nationally. Now, with a new lineup and new style, Companion is stronger than ever. Companion's self-titled, debut release will be available in March of 2009.
12:00 - Quiet Company ~ Are no strangers to Method Entertainment showcases or the Dallas and Austin music scene. We are always very honored to have these amazing musicians play on any of our bills. QC is a four-piece, Piano Rock band that has literally taken the US and Canada by storm. They have been touring nationally since 2007, their music video for "Fashionabel" off of the Shine Honesty album was picked up by MTV Canada and has been in rotation for quite sometime now. Currently, we have placed Quiet Company on this years Red Gorilla Festival, which occurs during SXSW 09. Not to mention a new album that will be released in the coming months. You definitely do not want to miss any opportunities to see these guys perform live.
