Cedar Hill city councilman Greg Patton not running for re-election
Best Southwest Blog’s Megan Gray reports that Cedar Hill Place 6 City Councilman Greg Patton isn’t planning to run again. That could add some drama to a city council race that’s often pretty mundane. Citizens in Cedar Hill, at least the ones who vote, seem pretty happy with things. Thus incumbents have an even easier time than they do in most elections. Uncontested races are very common in Cedar Hill.
And as any local reporter will tell you, Cedar Hill’s meetings run more smoothly than any other governmental body in the area. They are often out of there in less than an hour. Of course, I guess I should be grateful everyone doesn’t end their debates that quickly or stories would be hard to come by.
