UPDATED: George Strait and Reba McEntire to open new Cowboys Stadium
Officials at his record label say Strait has been tentatively booked at the stadium for sometime this summer.
Officials from George Strait's record label say the country artist has been tentatively booked to play in the new Cowboys Stadium when it opens this summer. However, no dates were given, the Cowboys would not comment on the possible concert, and Strait currently has no North Texas date listed on his upcoming tour.
Man, if you thought it was hard to see him at Texas Stadium, I can't even imagine the squinting you'd have to do in this behemoth. Good thing they'll have that huge scoreboard...
UPDATE: Okay, it's official: Strait, along with fellow country star Reba McEntire, will put on the first big event at the yet-to-be-named new Cowboys stadium. Blake Shelton and Julianne Hough will also be on hand to open for the mega-stars. $38.50 will get in you in the building, but $137.50 is the cost if you actually want to see anything (i.e. floor seats).

Presale will only last until Friday, Feb. 27 at 5 p.m., though they're likely to sell out well before then.
