DALLAS Mark Maguire, owner of Maguire's Restaurant, has been busy planning some exciting new changes in conjunction with the new year. Internationally acclaimed interior design firm Deborah Walker & Associates has updated the look and feel of the restaurant.
"We wanted to open up the feel of the main dining area while still offering an intimate setting, so we added large coral illuminated pendants and beautiful carpeting, which significantly adds volume and scale to the room," Walker said. "For the bar/lounge area, we wanted to create a warm intimate space for gatherings, so we've updated the look by adding refreshing shades of greens, browns and ivory. The renovation of Maguire's has significantly changed the dining experience and the overall ambiance of this classic restaurant."
Alberto Solis, who has served as Chef de Cuisine at Maguire's for the last 8 years, has been promoted to Executive Chef, and Brad Albers, who headed the kitchen at Café Pacific and Patrizio for over 13 years, is now Chef de Cuisine. This dynamic duo has joined to bring in some fresh new flavors to the Maguire's menu.
"Tamarind crusted Lamb Chops, Crabmeat Tostadas, Thai Almond Shrimp and Lemon Pepper Seabass with Pesto Risotto are some of the most popular new additions to our menu. I am also very excited to announce that we have found a new supplier for our Pork Loins so we have brought back our famous Maguire's House Cured Pork Chop with Champagne Mustard seed gravy," Maguire said. "We thought that this would be a great way to announce everything new at Maguire's for the new year."
Also new to the Maguire's team is David Knouse, who is the Director of Operations and acting General Manager. Knouse brings over 30 years of experience in the restaurant business to Maguire's, including Café Pacific and Patrizio's.
"We have had great success at Maguire's for the last 9 + years, but I really felt like it was time to freshen things up," Maguire said. "The new entry really opens up the room while adding a very decorative touch, and the lounge seating in the bar has been a big hit with all our guests. I'm also anxious for some nice weather so we can use our beautiful new patio!"
