Dallas-based AT&T and DIRECTV launch bundled satellite service in 22 states
AT&T Mobility and DIRECTV launched AT&T | DIRECTV, a co-branded satellite service for consumers in the 22 states that have AT&T's wired residential broadband and voice services. Through the new alliance, customers can enjoy AT&T | DIRECTV programming packages as part of an AT&T service bundle, including quadruple-play bundles with TV, broadband, home phone, and wireless services.
By combining AT&T broadband and wireless assets with DIRECTV's content, customers will be able to access and connect with their favorite programming across the three screens -- the TV, PC and wireless devices.
AT&T | DIRECTV gives customers who are not yet able to order U-verse TV the option of satellite service, and replaces a previous agreement with DISH Network. Current subscribers to AT&T | DISH Network will receive the service they enjoy today.
