Austin’s Riverboat Gamblers stream new single from upcoming album
Riverboat Gamblers - "Victory Lap" Live
In anticipation of the March 10 release of Underneath the Owl, Austin's Riverboat Gamblers are streaming (teasing) the first single, "Victory Lap," on their MySpace. Check out the video to the right of the band performing the song live at Alex's Bar.
If the video doesn't quite sate you, they'll be in town playing a free show on Thursday, February 12 at Vickery Park in Dallas. According to their website the show is 21 and up. Afterwards the punk rock quintet heads to the Soundwave Festival in Australia and will also play two bar dates with none other than Goldfinger. (Warning: editorial reminiscence to follow.) God, where the hell has Goldfinger been the last 8 years? This writer remembers a show in 1999 or so at Deep Ellum Live in Dallas when they opened for Less Than Jake or MxPx, can't quite remember. Still one of the best concerts I've ever seen. Goldfinger in a small to medium venue is a golden experience. So jealous of Australia right now. Bastards.
