Gardere Wynne Sewell’s Lowenberg to lead Dallas County Historical Commission
DALLAS Attorney Michael Lowenberg, general counsel at the Dallas office of Gardere Wynne Sewell LLP, has been selected to a two-year term as chairman of the Dallas County Historical Commission.
The Dallas County Historical Commission is a volunteer board appointed by the Dallas County Commissioners Court to advise the Court on matters pertaining to historical preservation, and to initiate and conduct programs and activities to assist in the preservation of Dallas County's historical heritage.
“Dallas County is so forward-thinking that it is sometimes easy to forget the importance of looking back to honor and appreciate our rich, diverse history,” says Mr. Lowenberg.
In addition to his work with the Dallas County Historical Commission, Mr. Lowenberg is a board member of Dallas’ Temple Emanuel, former chairman of the Dallas Chapter of the American Jewish Committee, former chairman of Texas Appleseed, and former president of Legal Aid of NorthWest Texas.
Mr. Lowenberg practices in Gardere’s Trial Section, handling issues involving intellectual property litigation and the defense of class actions. He is also active as an arbitrator for the American Arbitration Association’s Commercial Panel.
Gardere Wynne Sewell LLP, an AmLaw 200 firm, was founded in 1909 and is one of the Southwest’s largest full-service law firms.
