Noted biologist and biomimicist (and not many can make that claim) Dr. Dayna Baumeister will speak on the topic "What Would Nature Do? Biomimicry as a Path to Sustainability” on Tuesday, Feb. 24 at 5 p.m. in the Brown Lupton University Union ballroom on the campus of Texas Christian University.

This free and open-to-the-public event is sponsored by the Frost Foundation Lectureship for Global Issues, and The Center for International Studies: TCU Abroad.
Biomimicry is defined as "the process of finding sustainable ideas by echoing nature," and since Dr. Baumeister co-founded the Biomimicry Guild she can be considered to be a bona fide expert on the subject.
Dr. Baumeister’s program will include a visual tour of the world of biomimicry, which is gaining ground as a viable design strategy for companies, universities and organizations all over the world.
For further information about the talk, contact Susan Layne at 817-257-7120.
