City of Arlington schedules District 3 Town Hall Meeting
Arlington's District 3 is bounded by Matlock Rd. on the west, Pioneer Pkwy. on the north and Hwy. 360 to the east.
On Tuesday, Feb. 24 at 6:30 p.m., there will be a town hall meeting for District 3, to be hosted by none other than District 3 City Council Member Robert Rivera. (District 8 At-Large Councilperson Gene Patrick will co-host.)
The subject of the meeting, to be held at the Southeast Branch Library Community Room (900 SE Green Oaks Blvd.), will be public safety; the purpose of the proceedings will be to provide residents and businesses of District 3 with updates about the city’s public safety and crime prevention initiatives.
The agenda includes presentations by the Arlington Police Department, who know a thing or two about public safety (because that is, after all, their raison d'etre).
For more information, place a phone call to the Office of the Mayor and Council at 817-459-6143, or send an email to Council Coordinator Ellen Brooke at ellenbrooke@arlingtontx.gov. *
* NOTE that Arlington local government offices will be closed for President's Day on Monday, Feb. 16; all offices will resume operations on Tuesday, Feb. 17.
