Dallas-based Catholic Foundation names new chairman
DALLAS The Catholic Foundation recently welcomed four new members to its Board of Trustees who will serve three-year terms beginning January 2009 as well as announced its new team of officers.

“The Catholic Foundation is delighted to have the leadership and business expertise of these four new members, who bring with them a great knowledge of our community through their involvement with many different area organizations,” said Robin P. Hartmann, Chairman of the Board of The Catholic Foundation. “Their combined experience will guide us throughout the year as we continue to serve the Diocese of Dallas, its local institutions and its donors through compassionate charitable giving.”
The following are the four new Board of Trustees of the Catholic Foundation:
Dan Cruse, formerly Vice Chairman of the firm and Partner in Charge of the Dallas office of Spencer Stuart, one of the world's leading executive search consulting firms, brings an expertise in leadership and guidance to the Foundation. Additionally, Cruse is Chairman of the Board at the University of Dallas and is a member on the Trinity Strand Trail Board of Trustees.
John R. Kraft, CLU, ChFC established State Farm Agency in Plano which provides insurance and financial services for over 3,000 clients in the DFW area. Kraft also serves as the President of St. Mark School Board and is an active member of John Paul II High School Steering Committee, Plano Chamber of Commerce Board and St. Mark Parish Financial Advisory Board.
Victoria P. Lattner, CPA, previously Vice President of Finance at Southwest Media Corporation and a Certified Public Accountant, brings her financial management experience to the board. Lattner has served on numerous boards and committees including The Crystal Charity Ball, Dallas Symphony Orchestra League, Catholic Charities, Ursuline Academy and The American Heart Association.
David M. Rosenberg is a senior partner at the law firm of Thompson & Knight L.L.P. He is also involved in a number of community organizations including ChildCareGroup’s Board of Trustees, Ronald McDonald House of Dallas’ Board of Directors, The Crystal Charity Ball’s Advisory Board and member of the Junior League of Dallas Community Advisory Board.
The Board of Trustees is led by the 2009 officers: Robin P. Hartmann, Chairman; Thomas E. Merkel, Vice Chairman; David A. Small, Secretary; G. Charles (Chuck) Kobdish, Chair of the Development Committee; Thomas W. Codd, Jr., Chair of the Audit and Administration Committee; Jennifer Staubach Gates, Chair of the Distribution Committee; and Kathy Muldoon, Chair of the Investment Committee.
The additional members of the Board are as follows: Robert Baillargeon, Alan D. Bell, Joseph M. Coleman, The Most. Rev. Kevin J. Farrell, Charles L. Gummer, Donald J. Hanratty, Kasey P. Hollon, Thomas W. Horton, Tom Lazo, Sr., Nancy D. McLochlin, and Len C. Ruby.
