DALLAS Dallas Stars forward Brad Richards will miss six to eight weeks with a broken wrist suffered in Monday night’s 3-2 shootout win in Columbus.
Richards was evaluated by the Stars’ medical staff on Tuesday and it was determined that he had a distal radius fracture in his right wrist. The injury will not require surgery and RIchards, who was placed on injured reserve, will be re-evaluated in one month.
Richards was injured in the second period of Monday night’s game when he was checked into the boards by Columbus forward Jakub Voracek.
