In preparation for the new store opening Market Street will host a job fair Feb. 18 through March 6 at St. Andrew United Methodist Church’s Wesley Hall, 5801 W. Plano Pkwy, in Plano. Company officials will take applications and conduct interviews for all full- and part-time positions. The interview schedule is Monday-Tuesday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.; Wednesday-Friday, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.; and Saturday, 8 a.m. to noon.

“We are thrilled that Market Street can provide so many job opportunities to the North Texas community during these tough times,” said Ashly Gann, regional talent manager for United Supermarkets, LLC. “Our team members help complete the Market Street shopping experience. It’s the only place where you can discover value-priced groceries and hard-to-find specialty items in a friendly, neighborhood environment.”

Market Street combines the everyday groceries store guests need with the specialty items, whole-health/gourmet products and pre-prepared foods they want. The 70,000 square-foot Plano store boasts many convenient attributes, including an in-store health care clinic, drive-thru pharmacy and Peet’s Coffee Shop.

The first Market Street store opened in Wichita Falls in 1998, and other stores followed in Amarillo and Lubbock. With its newest addition, Market Street now has six DFW stores located in Frisco, Allen, McKinney, Colleyville, Coppell-Lewisville and Plano.
