Ms. Grupe has completed Colloquy and is certified for DCE ministry through Concordia University, St. Paul, Minnesota. Prior to entering the DCE program, she graduated with a B.S. in finance from Virginia Tech.

One individual who nominated Sandi wrote that Sandi “… is an amazing blessing to the DCE ministry. She finished her Colloquy while working with a mission plant and being a wife and mother of three children under the age of ten.” A colleague added, “Sandi is an exemplary DCE with great personal integrity and phenomenal gifts. I would not only recommend her without reservation, but also with the highest of accolades. She has served not only her God well but also this profession.”

Ms. Grupe also served with a mission plant, wherein she served as children and family ministry director, director of outreach and assimilation, and church business administrator.

Among her greatest joys in ministry, Sandi says, “I love it when the Holy Spirit begins to work change in the hearts of those we have been diligently serving, and God begins to reveal those changes.” Among the challenges, Sandi says, “My challenges lie in those times when our efforts seem fruitless and we feel like we are not even beginning to make a dent in the real work that needs to be done. I … need to be reminded that God’s timing is not always my own. Our efforts are not fruitless, and He uses them all for His glory.”
