Tolbert’s in Grapevine makes Bon Appetit list of barbecue places
Tolbert's Restaurant in Grapevine, home of a chili that's storied, renowned, and quintessential, gets a nod in the March issue of food magazine Bon Appetit, which compiled a list of top 10 chili spots in the U.S.. Not sure if they're in numerical order, sure hope not because Tolbert's comes in at No. 9:
"From the Chili Queens of San Antonio to the annual cook-offs, no state takes its chili as seriously as Texas. Halfway between Dallas and Fort Worth, Tolbert’s serves a classic bowl of Texas red, bean-free and super-thick with beef chunks."
