MESQUITE — The faded old Market East shopping center in Mesquite, built in the mid-1980s across from Town East Mall, is about to get a fab new makeover that'll include demolishing a plain old Target and replacing it with a new SuperTarget. Exciting!

Many of the rednecks have already abandoned Mesquite in favor of the more exclusive enclaves of Rockwall, Rowlett, and Forney. That said, there are still plenty left.
