Recently fired Dallas police officer has been fired and rehired in the past
Dallas police officer Anthony Williams was fired in January but it's not the first time, and he's been able to get rehired previously.
He was officially fired for failing to respond to an emergency call, but his checkered past includes repeated allegations of misconduct dating back to 1992 that involve sexual encounters with people who've called to report crimes. His firing came after he ignored a burglary alarm call because he was in the middle of a 90-minute argument with a woman with whom he'd previously had sex -- a woman he met while responding to her 911 call.
He was fired in 1997 by then-Police Chief Ben Click but was reinstated by a civil service trial board him five months later.

The rest of us got it Teresa.
The Doyle would rather type b/c instead of actually writing out the word 'because'- yet seems interested in keeping the integrity of our language together.
You're cool TG.

ha, well i confess that i was trying to pretend to scott that i didn't make a mistake when i actually did. we are lucky to have such sharp-eyed readers; i appreciate it any time anyone points out an error. (but i also always enjoy the opportunity to give scott a hard time)

Do you see what happens when I make a civilized attempt at helping the community? Feel like a speed bump before a bus stop.
Normally I don't care about something so trivial, but this story was linked in my local section of Google News. I guess I'll reciprocate by commenting questionably PC images on future face-time in hopes at least a dozen peeps see it before the nazi mods get me!

(For the record, the strike-through doesn't show up on Google News...meaning your potential new readers still see both and's.)
If only I wasn't at work, I could commence the first battle of a long war...

scott, surely you can see that it's a rather dull day and that some kind of distraction is thus welcome. may i attend your pity party?

TGizzub, surely you can see that I'll look for any excuse that gives me a remotely valid reason for doing whatever I want.

Sorry Doyle, just havin' some fun buddy.
If you don't want to get shot at around here, you better keep your head down. :-)

Isn't it obvious I have little reason to hold my head high? Way ahead of you.
I'll take this spiral of pity and shameless puns as far as possible, btw.

Rick, I bet this cop told Doyle the same thing on more than one occasion...
