Rowlett residents want to stamp out smoking ban
Rowlett's smoking ban is supposed to go into effect May 1, but a group of residents are looking to reverse it. They would need 521 signatures on their petition to put the issue to a vote. The move to enact a smoking ban was decided by the city council in a 4-3 vote.

Pretty sad that a mere 521 smokers need to find each other to overturn the inevitable.
I'm sure this is not unusual for small communities to ping pong endlessly on this. The litigation industry is recession proof indeed.

All they have to do is go to all the bars. They are avoided like the plague by the anti smoking zealots.

Stop and think about this A smoking ban means,it is against the law to use or permit a legal product on 'private property' Having said that, the next logical direction would be to ban smoking in your car and the next logical step is to ban smoking in your home. These zealots must be stopped now if not sooner
