George W. and Laura report problems with Dallas newspaper delivery
While we will endeavor to moderate our reportage of local Bush-related stories - because, after all, there are going to be a plethora of them every time the former first couple make a gesture outside the confines of their Preston Hollow compound - we can't help giving you a heads-up about this one.
Because it involves newspaper delivery. Of the old-fashioned print variety.
It seems that Laura reported (during an interview on Good Morning America) that she and George had been experiencing problems getting the Dallas Morning News delivered on schedule.
The reason? The paper delivery person does not have clearance to enter the security perimeter around the Bush house, and has been leaving the paper with the cops at the checkpoint. (Who have not been prompt about shepherding it along to its final destination.)
Oh, the humanity!

James Scott, says:
that's a LOL. I counted 5 cop cars out there yesterday morning. You would think one of them could leave the very important post and make the special delivery - it's not like they've got anything else to do sitting there.

In the interest of entertaining all viewpoints: our friend Greg Janda at NBCDFW.com contacted us by way of promoting his org's alternative approach to the local Bush presence, which involves over-reportage as opposed to the moderation I advocate in this piece.

My thoughts go out to the Bush's in their time of need.
