Mainstream Fish House at Preston and Forest in Dallas closed
DALLAS Mainstream Fish House at Preston & Forest in Dallas is closed. To quote baconboy (who posted a comment on Eats):
"The waiter told us that last night was their final night. Because the overall restaurant business is slow, he said that the staff were not going to be picked up by the other MCrowd businesses."
An employee at one of the Mi Cocinas confirmed that Wednesday was Mainstream's last night.
The restaurant was opened in 1995 by Kelly Haden, then taken over by M Crowd in 2004, whereupon it seemed to go somewhat adrift.
The M Crowd appears to be experiencing some churning, including the ousting of founder Mico Rodriguez in early November.
Meanwhile, who is this mysterious baconboy? I've seen him post comments on FrontBurner as well as the Eats blog; baconboy, you really ought to come over here to Pegasus News where the fun goes on 24-7.
