Small Business Administration brings incentive program to Dallas
Dallas - along with five other cities - will benefit this spring from an expansion of an incentive program created by the U.S. Small Business Administration to identify and foster growth of inner-city businesses across the country.
Known as the Emeging 200 Initiative, the program - whose first beneficiaries included entrepreneurs in Boston, Philadelphia, Baltimore, Memphis, Atlanta, Chicago, Milwaukee, Albuquerque, New Orleans and Des Moines - will now come to the aid of new small business leaders in the cities of Detroit, Dallas, Denver, Jacksonville, Fla., and Portland, Ore.
Bootstrapping local economies - 200 business leaders at a time? Sounds like a worthwhile effort.
