Dallas teen reports being purposely hit by truck, left for dead
Johnny Borrago reports that the truck circled around, stopped, and revved its engine before driving directly at him.
Dallas teen Johnny Borrago was playing with a remote-control car on a dead-end street at his uncle's home in Forney when a white Chevy Silverado with a black brush guard on the front drove by, clipping the toy. According to Borrago, who is in the hospital in very serious condition, the truck then wheeled around, revved its engine, and started towards the teen. Borrago was dragged a few feet by the truck before being run over. The driver left the scene.
The teen called for help, but since the incident happened at night, nobody was outside to hear him. He managed to drag himself, with fractured ribs, neck, and skull to his uncle's door before collapsing. Borrago is recovering at an area hospital. Police are asking for anyone with knowledge of the incident or the described truck to call.

Holy s#!t! What is wrong with people?
Good luck finding that truck - There are probably only fifty or so just like it in Forney.

So now the kid who was hit by the truck is saying he approached the truck "just to talk to the guy" and to let him know he ran over his car. A little different spin than the initial story.

Not to mention, revving your engine before you try and mow someone down is movie shenanigans - nobody pissed off enough to come at you bothers with it, they just run your ass over ASAP.

Unless they only meant to scare the kid, and the whole hit-and-drag was an accident.

Now, as a female, I am always on the defensive when exiting and entering my vehicle just because it has been drilled into my brain over and over. The thought has crossed my mind (and have even discussed with my daughter) that if some dude is coming after me, I will plow him down with my car, if necessary. That said, I don’t drive a big 4x4 and would also be calling 911 as soon as I could.

Guess I overestimate people's sense, in that you don't actually get close enough to hit someone if you're messing around.
Plus, you tend to only scare peeps you know - figured the kid who got hit would ID the dude immediately if it was just a prank gone bad.
