Dallas, your freezing line is showing
Naturally, the whole surroundings are abuzz over the rumors of freezing precip headed into the DFW metro area. The National Weather Service has put the region under an actual freezing rain advisory, effective until noon.
Latest word has it that the rain will continue over the area through the day and into tonight, with the better chance of it turning to freezing rain to the west and north of Dallas (not to mention northwest), whose residents find themselves on the very edge of the predicted freezing line which extends from Cleburne to Sulphur Springs.
The Love Field temp as of this writing remains 33 degrees, and given that the ground has been really warm, it's going to have to drop a lot farther before anything frozen starts to happen.
(Except on bridges and overpasses - well known for their clever ability to freeze over before anything else. So don't say we didn't warn you.)
Little or no ice accumulation is expected, though, so don't bother stopping off at the auto parts store to make your annual contribution to the manufacturers of plastic ice-scraping implements. Unless you want to plan ahead for the next time.
(Nah.)
