UPDATED: Village Voice Media salary cuts to hit Dallas Observer
DALLAS Village Voice Media's recent announcement that the staff will take pay cuts of 10-15% will occur at the Dallas Observer, confirmed a staffer.
The media chain sent out a letter on December 31 announcing staff reductions and pay reductions of 15% for senior management and 10% for publishers and editors, as well as a suspension of matching funds for employees' 401-K plan.
The Observer will not endure layoffs as experienced by some other outlets such as Denver Westword.
UPDATE: Here is the official notice on Unfair Park.
