Latest buzz about Mavs forward Josh Howard stems from not-impossible-but-unlikely trade to Toronto
Some media outlets are biting at the bit to crank up the rumor mill, claiming that a Josh Howard trade to the Toronto Raptors is all but a done deal. According to HoopsWorld.com, the Dallas Mavericks would trade forward Josh Howard, and potentially DeSagana Diop and Antoine Wright, to Toronto in exchange for Andrea Bargnani and Anthony Parker.
But a beat writer for the Raptors, Doug Smith, is quick to halt speculation, writing that, "the deal is not going to happen, was never going to happen, will never happen." In a rather bombastic tone, Smith, who writes for the Toronto Star, chalks the rumor up to routine trade talks, many of which never evolve from the hypothetical to the court. Smith then proceeds to burst into flames and fiendishly cuts off a kitten's head. Of course, that could just be a rumor.
