Audio: Dallas South interviews Congresswoman Eddie Bernice Johnson (part 1)
I thought this would be a great opportunity to speak with the congresswoman to further learn more of her thoughts on the Dallas Inland Port.
In a recent article by the Dallas Observer, Congresswoman Eddie Bernice Johnson had a number of strong opinions regarding the Dallas Inland Port in Southern Dallas. I’ve been tracking this project for a couple of years now -- with the inland port encompassing so much of Rep. Johnson’s district, I thought this would be a great opportunity to speak with the congresswoman to further learn more of her thoughts on the subject.

Dallas South's interview with Congresswoman Eddie Bernice Johnson (Part 1)
After I spoke with her office, Congresswoman Johnson graciously agreed to share a few moments with the Dallas South Family. In part one of our two part interview, Rep. Johnson and I talk about the inland port as well as the recent announcement made by The Allen Group that they are relocating their corporate headquarters to Dallas.
In part two that will post tomorrow, we discuss President Elect Barack Obama’s appointment of Ray LaHood to be Transportation Secretary (Rep. Johnson serves on the U.S. House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee) as well as Obama’s stimulus package that’s currently being crafted into a bill.
