The cement shoe industry is experiencing tough times as well
DALLAS According to this story in the Dallas Business Journal, it appears Dallas-based cement maker Texas Industries posted an 86% drop in net income over the past quarter.
The company reported sales of $3.9 million, a drop from $29.3 million for the comparable quarter in 2007. The drop is likely the result of the slowdown in the construction industry both nationally and in Texas, where 80 percent of the company's business comes from.
