With Americans showing an increased preference for all-natural foods, Pizza Hut is launching nationally The Natural, a new pizza made from natural ingredients.
"Our customers have made a very clear statement: all-natural ingredients are an important part of their food choices," said Scott Bergren, Pizza Hut President. "The Natural is a delicious and affordable way to give our customers the ingredients they want in a pizza that we're sure they will love. With the Natural, you get a premium pizza without having to pay a premium price; it's available for just $9.99."
The all-natural taste of The Natural extends from toppings to the crust. The Natural is topped with a sauce made from vine-ripened tomatoes and all-natural mozzarella cheese. There are no artificial flavors, colors or preservatives. With eight grams of whole grains per slice, The Natural pizza has earned the seal of approval from the Whole Grains Council. Each two-slice serving is an excellent source of whole grains. According to research recently published by the NPD Group, 64% of Americans want more whole grains in their diet.
New from the Pizza Hut kitchen are a collection of all-natural toppings for The Natural, including sliced Rustica Sausage, pepperoni, marinated sliced Roma tomatoes, and fire-roasted red peppers. You also can get your pizza topped with a number of traditional toppings that are already natural, such as green peppers, red onions, sliced mushrooms and pineapple. A one-topping medium The Natural pizza is $9.99. The Natural Rustica recipe, which includes sliced all-natural Rustica sausage, fire roasted red peppers and marinated Roma tomatoes is $11.99.

I like it but taste is key when it comes to pizza, IMHO.
We need a blind taste test between an unnatural slice and a natural slice.
Also, a healthy pizza is like a baked potato. It's all well and good until it gets decorated with a cup of sour cream, butter and 8oz of cheese.

Why a blind taste test? Maybe I have the taste buds of an elephant (I wonder if their memory applies there too), but I can pretty easily remember what a regular slice of Pizza Hut pizza tastes like.
And I think they addressed your topping concern with...a couple of paragraphs on the matter.

Must only be new in a nationwide sense - the wife and I've been getting the natural (rustica sausage version) delivered off and on for several months now. And I can attest to the fact that it's delicious.

Natural Pizza? That's just unholy. But then...

why is it unholy? You realize the first pizza was probably made out of dough, water, tomatoes, and mozzarella cheese, right? Rather than manufactured out of corn, soy, and petroleum?

While PizzaHut is certainly an evil chain, at least they put all of their nutrition and ingredients on their website. Their recipe for dough is not that bad - although they don't say how much oil they put it in it. For a 3.2 oz serving of cheese pizza there is 8 grams of fat and 220 calories...that seems a bit rich - especially when you consider a true "natural" pizza (i.e. an authentic Neapolitan pizza) has about 650 calories in an entire 13" pizza.

Pizza's are easy, just time consuming. I make my own pizza dough and sauce, know what goes in, and don't suffer the typical heartburn afterwards. Yes it takes longer, but costs less and, IMHO, tastes better. =)

I make my own pizza, but I just roll some biscuits into a crust, pour store-bought sauce on it, and then start cramming toppings on. Doesn't take too long and tastes delicious.
