Lake Highlands dance team will perform at Texas-centric inaugural ball
Lake Highlands Wildcat Wranglers in action
Among the many balls and parties that will take place in Washington over Obama's inauguration (and why not, it's not like we're in a recession or anything) will be the Texas State Society's Black Tie & Boots Inaugural Ball. The Lake Highlands High School Wildcat Wranglers, the school's dance and stunt team, will perform in front of an anticipated 11,000 people or 22,000 individual cowboy boots. In the crowd will be members of the Texas congressional delegation, celebrities (omg, Matthew?!) and other people as important, if not more, than celebrities.
Whether Obama will make an appearance is supposedly not known, but my guess is he'll visit the balls for the states that actually voted him in.
