HAPPY ENDING SUCCESS STORY!!! I'm so excited to report that I was able to locate Vito's owner and they were happily reunited the day after I found him. His owner kindly offered a reward, but I asked that he instead get a collar with tags and a microchip for his doggie. The owner was so grateful and excited to see his dog--he said he was taking him to get a microchip right then! I hope so in case he ever digs out of his yard again.

Animal owners: GET A CHIP!
If I had not had my dog 'Honey' microchipped, I would have lost him 4 years ago when he was stolen. When the new 'owner' dumped Honey she ended up at the animal shelter. God help me if I had no chip because I had even called the shelters in des[eration. But it was only after they scanned her that I was able to be reconnected. In at least 3-4 other incidents this was the sole reason we are still together. The 'Home Again' chip is the single best thing to come along since sex and fried foods.
