Child Protective Services investigates Denton day care death
A four-month old girl died at Too Kool for School on Wednesday, Jan. 7.
While Denton police indicate that no criminal charges are pending in the case, agents of Child Protective Services are nonetheless investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of 4-month-old Sophia Worsham, who was discovered to be limp and unresponsive while in the care of workers at Too Kool for School, an in-home day care facility in Denton.
The investigation is proceeding in part because the facility was licensed to care for 12 children, while reports indicate there may have been as many as 30 children there around the time of the incident.
Other reports put the number at 17 children present at the time emergency personnel arrived at the home - which would still be over the number to which the facility was supposed to be limited.
