The Contemporary Art Dealers of Dallas present the opening reception of “Drawing In” at CADD Art Lab on Thursday, January 15, 5-8 p.m.
“Drawing In” is the third exhibition presented at CADD Art Lab, a new venue for talking about and presenting contemporary art in downtown Dallas. The exhibition will feature drawings, mixed media, and installations by artists John Adelman, Robert Dale Anderson, Janet Chaffee, Heide Fasnacht, Linnea Glatt, Kana Harada, Steven Hopwood-Lewis, Otis Jones, Lawrence Lee, M, Rosemary Meza-DePlas, Robyn O’Neil, Lopez Pardo, Justin Quinn, Andrea Rosenberg, Raymond Saa, Lorraine Tady, and Paul Urich.
Drawing is a universal form of visual communication. We are surrounded by drawings everyday in the form of handwriting, diagrams, doodles, graffiti, illustrations, textile patterns, etc. Drawings tell us about our bodies, our habits, our fantasies, our histories, and our desires. These works have been selected to highlight recent activity in drawing in Dallas galleries and include drawings in black and white media as well as in color, drawings that have been cut, drawings created by thread and sewing, and drawings suspended in space.
Additional exhibition programs to be announced. Check the website for updates.
