Dallas teachers named National Intern Teachers Of The Year

Amir Boroujerdi, Spanish teacher at Woodrow Wilson High School, named  National Intern Teacher of the Year for the secondary level by the National Association of Alternative Certification.

Amir Boroujerdi, Spanish teacher at Woodrow Wilson High School, named National Intern Teacher of the Year for the secondary level by the National Association of Alternative Certification.

Amir Boroujerdi, a Spanish teacher at Woodrow Wilson High School, and Angela Craft, formerly a special education teacher at Kleberg Elementary School, have been named as the National Intern Teachers of the Year by the National Association of Alternative Certification.

Boroujerdi won for teaching at the secondary level, and Craft won for teaching at the elementary level.

Both teachers participated in the 2007-2008 Alternative Certification program sponsored by the Dallas Independent School District and are currently certified teachers for the State of Texas.

The awards will be presented to them Friday, January 30 at the National Association of Alternative Certification Conference in San Antonio.
