North Texas Film Critics Association names best of 2008
Sadly, Jon Stewart was unavailable to announce the NTFCA 2008 winners, so we went with the standard press release instead.
The ballots have been counted (all 15 of 'em), and the results are official: members of the North Texas Film Critics Association have picked Slumdog Millionaire as their favorite film of 2008.
Danny Boyle, who directed Slumdog, also gets the nod for best director.
Rounding out the tally:
* Best Actor: Frank Langella, in Frost/Nixon
* Best Actress: Meryl Streep, in Doubt
* Best Supporting Actor: Heath Ledger, in The Dark Knight
* Best Supporting Actress: Amy Adams, in Doubt
* Best Cinematography: The Curious Case of Benjamin Button
* Best Animated Film (by unanimous decision): WALL-E
* Best Documentary: Young @ Heart
* Best Foreign Language Film: Let the Right One In
