Former Dallas Cowboys receiver Michael Irvin nearly robbed at gunpoint
Photo not provided by NBC, but instead by reenactor Floyd D.P. Øydegaard.
Noted Cowboy fan and stage coach robber Black Bart was unavailable for comment
DALLAS According to this story from NBC, it appears former Dallas Cowboy wide receiver Michael Irvin was very nearly mugged at gunpoint Tuesday, but was left alone after his would-be robbers recognized him.
The incident occurred on Marsh Lane near the George Bush Turnpike. Irvin says a black truck followed him to a stoplight, pulled a gun on him, and then recognized him as the international celebrity he is. The gunmen reportedly then discussed the Cowboys' past season before driving off.
Police have no suspects in the case.

CitizenKane says:
Irvin is a thug...He has a guy point a gun at him, thinking he might get carjacked, but doesn't call the police, letting the jacker continue along his merry spree to jack some other poor sole.
Is this an example of the NO SNITCHING that is prevelent in Irvin's community?

<i>You used my image as a holdup suspect on your blog(?) and I take it personal!!! I have never tried to rob any Cowboy, whether a football star or a cow-poke. I only robbed stagecoaches and trains.
Use of my image was not (to my knowledge) requested of me. Give the credit where it is due. That image is a tintype created by William Dunniway using 1860's materials and camera. The image is Black Bart the Legend AKA Floyd Oydegaard:
