AFI Dallas announces festival chairs and welcomes Northpark Center as a presenting sponsor
In other Northpark movie-related news, the AFI Dallas folks have announced that the venerable shopping destination - whose AMC multiplex played host to a number of screenings during the festival's first two seasons - has signed on as an AFI presenting sponsor.
Functionally, what this means for festival patrons is that you'll now be able to buy tickets to AFI Dallas film screenings at Northpark, where the official box office will be opened (to supersede the one at Victory Park).
In further AFI news, Anne and Steve Stodghill will serve as Festival Chairs. No, you won't be invited to sit on them; what this really means is that the couple will be pulling all the high profile duties during the fest and serving as festival ambassadors to the local (and international) community.
And finally, it's been announced that Joseph Harberg (of Current Energy) has been named President of the Festival Advisory Board. Harberg co-hosts a nationally syndicated radio show (The Current Energy Report) and appears weekly on WFAA-TV’s Good Morning Texas.
Victory Park remains a presenting sponsor of the AFI Dallas Film Fest, and will continue to be "the epicenter for the festival," according to this AFI press release.

Clarification: the Victory Park AFI box office will continue operations during the festival, so that fest-goers will now have two locations for buying tickets.

Victory Park isn't the "epicenter" of anything.
What a mess. More restaurants/retailers are closing. The House may become a "rental" property.
I think the name Victory Park was premature. We now call it Vacant Park.
