City of Arlington seeks volunteers for homeless count
The night of the count will be Thursday, January 29.
The City of Arlington plans to conduct a street count of homeless individuals on Thursday, Jan. 29 - and they're asking for citizen volunteers to assist with the process.
The Arlington count will be conducted in conjunction with the City of Fort Worth and Tarrant County, and is being spearheaded by the Tarrant County Homeless Coalition.
The staging area for volunteers is the Arlington Human Services Bldg., Conf. Rm. A, located at 501 W. Sanford St.; the count is scheduled to begin at 9 p.m. and conclude at 2 a.m.
For those uncertain of the homeless counting process, there will be training sessions conducted at the Human Services Bldg. (Conf. Rm. 110) on the following dates: Jan. 16 and Jan. 23 at 11 a.m.; Jan. 21 at noon; and Jan. 27 at 6 p.m. A final training session will be offered on the night of the count at 7 p.m.

Yes there is trouble brewing with the incomming Okies and other Henry Fonda's, oh Great Grapes of Wrath and John Steinbeck,,
Time to wake up and smell the coffee is cold....while patience and compassion for all, this is still a great place if we can assist our homeless and get them on to a better road...A/T, Observer of the human condition.
