Dallas police accused of lying to facilitate arrest; man has video to prove it
Thomas Hannon spent 10 months in a Dallas County jail after police arrested for drug and weapon possession. The arrest affidavit claims that Hannon was carrying a bag containing the drugs and a gun, and that when Dallas police spotted him, he dropped the bag and attempted to flee.
Hannon claimed innocence and a hotel video that came out months later proved it. In the video, there was another man carrying the bag and while Hannon was nearby, he was never in possession of the bag. The charges were dropped the day before the case went to trial.
Hannon is now suing the Dallas police department for violating his civil rights. Officers are investigating how the original officer failed to properly investigate the case. Hopefully, this investigation of the investigation doesn't go as badly as the original investigation.
...investigation.

Why did it take 10 months for the video to come out?
