Dallas Stars leave WBAP 820-AM for Sportsradio 1310 The Ticket
The Dallas Stars and Sportsradio 1310 The Ticket have signed a five-year agreement to make The Ticket the exclusive radio broadcasting home of the hockey club through the 2013-14 NHL season.
The agreement begins next season, with the Ticket broadcasting all 82 regular season games of the Dallas Stars each year, as well as all playoff games. The games will be broadcast on both the station’s primary AM frequency of 1310 and its main FM frequency of 104.1 (as well as 1700 AM and 99.5-2 HD). The Ticket will also broadcast a pre-game show (for most games) and a post-game show (for all games) as part of the agreement.
The Stars are currently in the final year of a contract with News/Talk 820 WBAP, which has been the hockey club’s radio home for the last 15 years.
Long-time Stars broadcasters Ralph Strangis and Daryl Reaugh will continue to call the games. Both recently signed extensions that have them under contract through the 2013-14 season. Strangis is currently in his 19th season with the Stars, including 13 as the play-by-play voice. Reaugh is in his 13th season as the color analyst for the club.

Seeing that the Ticket maybe losing the cowboys to KRLD 1080/105.3, its a move that'll easily allow them to hedge their bets. This may also motivate KTCK to get on the ball and switch over to the 93.3 signal accordingly

Call Thomas at the Stars ticket office (214) 387-5636 for tickets (and avoid those costly service charges). Ask Thomas to use the "FEBRUARY" promo code and tell him Don sent ya...
