0

Casa Mañana is bringing some new and old hits to Fort Worth this summer. Although termed the "Summer at the Bass Season," shows take place mainly at Bass Hall, but also at the Casa Mañana Theatre. Season tickets are on sale right now for $90 - $285, and more info on subscription packages can be found online or by calling 817-332-2272.

Here is the lineup:

  • Always…Patsy Cline from June 2-7 at Casa Mañana Theatre. Her voice was silenced over 40 years ago but her legacy remains. Despite her tragically brief career, Patsy Cline continues to enthrall fans and influence today's country and pop singers. Based upon a true story about the friendship between the legendary country music queen and her biggest fan, this musical features more than 20 of Patsy's hits, including "Your Cheatin' Heart," "I Fall To Pieces" and "Crazy." This show is suitable for all audiences.
  • Dame Edna – My First Last Tour from June 23 – 28 at Bass Performance Hall. Dame Edna Everage, the international housewife, therapist, gigastar, guru and celebrity confidant, is currently crafting her latest, exciting entertainment strategies on her private estate in her native Australia. Dame Edna will display her unique genius within a new and vibrantly stimulating theatrical infrastructure. This show is suitable for most audiences. Sexual humor and innuendo. Parental discretion is advised.
  • Little Shop of Horrors from July 7 - 12 at Bass Performance Hall. A down-and-out, skid row floral assistant becomes an overnight sensation when he discovers an exotic plant with a mysterious craving for fresh blood. One of the longest-running off-Broadway shows of all time, this affectionate spoof of 1950s sci-fi movies has become a household name thanks to a highly-successful film version and a score by Howard Ashman and Alan Menken. This show is suitable for most audiences. Parental discretion is advised.
  • Legally Blonde The Musical from August 4 - 9 at Bass Performance Hall. The hilarious MGM film is Broadway's newest smash-hit musical! Legally Blonde follows sorority star Elle Woods, an underestimated blonde who doesn't take "no" for an answer. When her boyfriend dumps her for someone more "serious," Elle puts down the credit card, hits the books and sets out to go where no Delta Nu has gone before: Harvard Law. This show is suitable for most audiences. Parental discretion is advised.
  • Grease from September 1 - 6 at Bass Performance Hall. It’s the one that you want...and it’s back! Take a trip to a simpler time of poodle skirts, drive-ins and T-birds. "Bad boy" Danny and "girl next door" Sandy fall in love all over again to the tune of your favorite songs: "Summer Nights," "Greased Lightnin'" and "We Go Together" as well as additional songs from the hit movie: "Grease," "You’re The One That I Want" and more! This show is suitable for most audiences. Parental discretion is advised.
