Inauguration-watching parties going on in Dallas area, as well as rest of world

A variety of organizations and establishments in the Dallas-Fort Worth area are hosting Inauguration-watching parties on Tuesday January 20, as the most historic exciting mind-blowing political event in the history of the world will occur when Barack Obama is sworn in as President. The list includes Democratic party gatherings as well as parties hosted by restaurants and theaters such as the Magnolia. Is this kind of thing more fun to watch with other people? I guess it gets you feeling solidarity with your fellow man and all that.

Can't resist a plug for one of my favorite local eateries, Cafe Lago, which is having an <a href="http://www.pegasusnews.com/events/2009/jan/20/130207/">Obama Bash</a> on inauguration evening.

I'm very confused. Are bars just going to be be re-running his speech at night? Sounds pretty lame...if you care that much, you'll watch live - otherwise you'll find it online.

Fail.

The rerun speeches and parties are free of the "it's 11 a.m. and I can't get drunk at work" problem.

Erin, they're not free of douchebags who won't shut-up b/c they've already seen it. I don't have time to watch the whole thing at work and would prefer to actually hear what <s>our new lord and savior</s> Obama is saying. =p

Democrat, Republican, black, or white....the only change that's coming is the left wing elements of the Democratic party have solidified their control over this country, our economy, and society.

Plane loads of tort lawyers from Dallas are partying in Washington DC this weekend...

A sad day in Mudville.

The rich get richer, the middle class get more squeezed, and the under-class get more entitlements.

Just to clarify on the Denton County event, it is free to get in but you're on your own for food and drink. But Prairie House has portions bigger than your head, so it's worth it.
