Soldier on leave from Iraq gets throat cut in Dallas parking lot

— Ramiro Campozano, 37, a soldier on a 30-day leave from Iraq, got his throat cut in a vacant lot in the 5000 block of Colonial Avenue in south Dallas on Saturday night.

Campozano and his ex-wife, Twanna Hall, 30, were hanging out and drinking in her Chevrolet Tahoe. He got sick and left the car to throw up. She waited five minutes and found him outside the car lying on his chest in a pool of blood. She wondered if he fell on broken glass in the parking lot but his brother doesn't think so. He was supposed to go back to Iraq this week but was in the hospital on Sunday.

Wait, so was his throat actually cut? The second paragraph makes it seem like there's not an official verdict.

And I've gone drinking with an ex before, and unless you count my hair as a tragic accident, seem to be none the worse for wear.

i accidentally left out the link to the DMN story, but i just added it so that you can see the ambiguity about the throat getting cut. perhaps i am wrong but they seemed to be casting some doubt about the ex-wife... that she was sitting in the car for five minutes and then discovered his body "by the passenger door"... and then her odd theory that he got his throat cut by falling on glass.

i can't tell. maybe she was just a little trashed
