SXSW slots Seth Rogen starrer as film fest centerpiece screening
From the SXSW Film press office comes word that Seth Rogen - who attended the 2007 festival to promote his starring role in the world premiere of Knocked Up - will again be figuring into festival programming, this year in support of the festival's centerpiece screening of his starrer Observe and Report.
Now, I don't want to alarm anyone, but it says here that Observe and Report is about another dang mall cop - please God tell me this isn't the start of a trend.
The movie - written and directed by Foot Fist Way filmmaker Jody Hill - purports to be a dark comedy - something the other mall cop flick certainly never aspired to. Rogen's co-stars include Anna Farris, Michael Peña and Ray Liotta.
In other SXSW Film news, new panelists have been added to the conference portion of the event, including Catherine Hardwicke, Robert Rodriguez, Mike Judge, Joe Swanberg and Mark Woollen.
