Latin American/human rights scholar to speak at TCU
David Holiday, an advocate for human rights and civil society, particularly as they apply to Latin America - will be the featured speaker at an event sponsored by Texas Christian University's Center for Civic Literacy on Tuesday, Feb. 17 at 7 p.m.
The speechifying will occur in the Dee J. Kelly Alumni and Visitors Center on the TCU campus.
Holiday will hold forth on the topic of "Promoting Democracy Abroad: Confessions of a Reluctant Practitioner." He (Holiday) is a program officer in the Latin America Program of the Open Society Institute, and Senior Policy Analyst on Latin America at the Open Society Policy Center based in Washington, D.C.
