City of Dallas to host television recycling event
The City of Dallas Sanitation Services department is hosting “Stop, Drop & Go” a TV recycling event in advance of the national conversion to digital television. The event will take place at Reunion Arena on Friday, January 24 and Saturday, January 25 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. both days.
Dallas residents can drop off old televisions at Reunion Arena -- and they don’t even have to get out of their cars! The first 300 to do so will get a coupon for a free Chick-Fil-A sandwich. This event is free to Dallas residents who want to make sure their TVs are disposed of correctly to protect the environment.
The city has also established four recycling drop-off locations for TV’s and computer monitors since residents are not allowed to put old TVs in their garbage or bulk trash. The drop-off locations are open through March 31.

Pavel Lishin, says:
This sounds like a good way for me to finally realize my dream of having a wall of televisions.
(I saw it in a cartoon as a kid. ONE DAY IT WILL HAPPEN.)
