Another potential reportage method for watching the ever-so-interesting ex-president and his family as they retire to their new Dallas home

When former first lady Laura Bush dropped by her new house in Dallas' Preston Hollow neighborhood on Friday (Jan. 24), there was a KTVT/Channel 11 news copter perched overhead filming the event for posterity.

The $2.1 million home will eventually be inhabited by the ex-president and Laura, though there's no word on exactly when the move-in will occur.

When the Bushes do take up residence, they are likely to have an around-the-clock Dallas Police squad car patrolling the vicinity as an adjunct to whatever other security measures may be in the works.

I don't understand the fascination with looking at a house. 1 year ago it was just another really nice mansion in Dallas. It's the same house now, but someone else lives there now. I guess some are more easily entertained.

I've been media saturated with Dubya and his frantic antics for too many years now. Can we please give it a rest? Let him fade into obscurity, please? He's not Paris Hilton or Britney Spears, so c'mon, media people, let's just ignore him for a few years, b'okay, hmmmm?
