Former Lancaster mayoral candidate back in jail, now for Dallas rental scams
Morris Mosley had already been linked to rental scams in DeSoto, Lancaster, and Cedar Hill. As one might recall, he would rent out foreclosed homes to people, homes he didn't own, and the renters would find out only after police kicked them off the property. By that point Mosley would have already made off with large sums of the victims' money.
It has recently become clear that Mosley is involved in rental scams in Dallas, as well. He is now back in jail.

When did local mayors start declaring partisan affiliations and why does it matter anyway?
Kinda reminds me of the people who see a crime committed and the first thing they ask was if they were an illegal alien.

There's a reason he finished a distant third in last year's mayoral election. I attended a mayoral candidates forum last year and he seemed to be more interested in making a profit than actually gaining office. There was also the issue of him using several different addresses in and outside of Lancaster as his official "place of residence." We knew that putting a man of such flawed character in the city's highest office would be a mistake. Lancaster really dodged a bullet on this one!

Citizen Kane: Mr. Mosley is black, so it is statistically likely that he is of the Democratic persuasion.

Irregardless of the social and political associations others are making, I'm just comforted that this guy is an outed as a slimebag. Maybe all this trouble will shape him up. Its probable that he won't, but next time he does something shady and self-interested he won't have anybody's sympathy. Yay!

WOW!!!! Is all I can say. I too was a victim of Morris Mosley's scam. I was in need of a nice decent place for me nad my two sons to call home. I was refered to Mr. Mosely by a friend who was renting from him. The home he showed us was beautiful a dream come true. When I contacted him he asked me how much I could afford to pay monthly and we agreed on rent of $800 a month. I was over joyed and he told me that we could move in ASAP and pay him the first months rent and pay the deposit at a later date. I was taken for a total of $2000. My boys and I stayed in the house for two months. Two weeks after we moved in I received notes on the door from realotors offering to pay me to vacate. I gave Mr. Mosely all of the realotors contact information and he reassured me that it was alright "he would take care of it" I felt very uneasy the whole time we lived in that house and was steadily looking for a permanent place to live. This man went so far as to conecting all of the utilies (lights, water)When the third month came I arrived "home" from work to fing a letter from a constable saying we had 24 hours to vacate. Thanks the lord I had not paid this man any more money. I was blessed to be able to find my boys and I a place to live. The fact that I had not paid him enabled me to make that happen. To Linda I sympathize with you and your family and I pray that the lord has his arms around you to help you over come this. I heard this news report on my way to work this morning and I had to share my story.
