Runway Theatre's 26th season is continuing this week with the opening of Crossing Delancey. The show will run from January 30 - February 15 and you can purchase tickets online or by calling 817-488-4842.
Written by Susan Sandler, this character-driven romantic comedy revolves around a New York City woman forced to choose between suitors and cultures. Isabelle is a thirty-something Jewish woman trying to find love in modern times. Her well-meaning and sharp-witted "Bubbie" hoodwinks her into pursuing the advice of a matchmaker. Izzy is torn between Tyler, a handsome, self-centered author, and Sam, a no-frills, traditional pickle shop owner who would draw her back to her family's faith.
Directed by Amanda G. Lindsey, the cast includes Melissa M. Hurta, Katrena Jonas-O'Toole, John Esquivel, Misty Baptiste, and Brock Klein.
And if you still haven't made plans for February 14th, the theater company is even offering a special Valentine's Day event for $20-25. The evening will consist of a special performance of Crossing Delancey, complimentary desserts and champagne, and a romantic ambience for that special someone. Tickets for this event can be purchased online.
